Working in conjunction with Gallagher Contractors Limited on the Tilbury Docks project, Arkas undertook design, supply, delivery and installation of a total of 26 doors of which 24 were double skinned insulated sectional doors complying with clients specifications and UK safety guidelines such as BS EN 12604 and BS EN 1245.
The door panels consisted of doubled skinned galvanised steel with HFCF-CFC free
polyurethane rigid foam with finger trap protection to panel joint inside and out.
They were operated by 400v 3 phase operator with emergency hand chain in case of power failure, with automatic reset and fitted with anti-drop safeguard and anti-drop cable devices.
2 Framex steel flush fire escape doors and frames were also supplied and installed. These were fitted with panic exit hardware and powder coated to clients specifications.
This extensive project took a total of 5 weeks from acceptance of quotes to final installation. Arkas engineers worked efficiently with various other contractors to deliver this project on time.
