The London Fire Bridage has an ongoing programme for maintaining the readiness of its stations to continue to provide a fast and effective service to the people of London. The LFB contracted Akas to replace the front appliance bay doors at Woodside Fire Station.
The project involved the installaion of Arkas bespoke power operated bi-folding doors to replace the old timber bi-folding doors. The new doors were designed and manufactured to follow the exact design and glazing deatil of the old doors whilst still retaining the effciency of the new product to meet with planning requirements.
The new doors were installed and re-wired with minimal disruption to the Station without damage or alteration to the existing structure.
The programme for installion was phased to allow operations of the Station to continue uninterupted. The new doors are fully automatic with safety edges, photocells, internal traffic lighs and external digital keypad operation.
